First impression… β£Just one of the many beautiful sunsets I enjoyed here. πI decided to stay at this wonderful campground for another few days, but I had to move to 2 different campsites for 1 night each before “mine” was available again. They were both nice, but I wanted to get back to the water. This campsite had 2 levels & a private path to the beach! I loved the campsite, but dogs aren’t allowed on the beach, so we didn’t go down to it. This was my view while I ate my supper. This was the site I moved to for the 2nd night. It was directly across the street, so it was an easy move.My next door neighbors here were Juliette & Paul. It was a chilly night & I really appreciated it when Juliette came over to offer me some firewood. They were going home the next day & they were happy to share the warmth. π€Before leaving the next morning Juliette & Paul stopped by to offer me breakfast! Juliette had made chocolate chia with walnuts & fresh blueberries on top. Delicious! She also gave me some coconut milk, a brownie & a snack for Maddie! She called me over again just before they left. They were in a wonderful RV with refrigeration, so she dumped the remainder of their ice cubes into my cooler! Her last kind gift was a frozen container of butternut squash bisque from a fancy deli near their home. It stayed frozen until the next day when I ate every yummy spoonful! I love this tree & view. πAnother gorgeous sunset! It was strange hearing voices so close, but Maddie is always on duty to defend against intruders! All of my ducks/geese in a row! It’s not easy to keep this many ducks/geese in a row! This was only half of them!I’d already been on alert to bears π», snakes π, ticks, mosquitoes π¦ & SPIDERS π·, so here I added fire ants π to the list!Mother Nature was truly cranky that night! I’ve been paying careful attention to the weather reports, but a windstorm came up so quickly that it never made the reports! I sensed it coming & quickly took down my tent. There wasn’t time to stow it away, so I stashed it under my car! I lashed my cot to the car roof & Maddie’s bed to the picnic table! The wind was so strong that I was knocked down onto my knees! Luckily, it was a very fast moving event. The sky was beautiful through the whole thing! My neighbors on one side suffered quite a bit of damage to their tent & canopies because they didn’t react fast enough. βΉThis was the sky throughout the windstorm! It was deceiving!
On May 2, 2021, I departed from Massachusetts in my 2017 Ford Edge (Breezy Blue) with my 13.5 year young pup, Maddie, to fulfill a lifelong dream of a road trip across America. Our departure was delayed by a month, but we're making up for lost time now! My goal is to be out and about for a year.

Holy Moley! I’m intrigued, curious, and awed. Stay safe and live large. I’m glad Maddie is with you. I love the kindness of strangers.
Hi there, Wendy! Welcomeβ£ I’m living so far out of my comfort zone & loving it! I had this in mind when I bought my car 5 years ago. COVID pushed me over the edge & now I’m livin’ in my Edge! Maddie’s 13.5 & I’m not getting any younger, so I jumped! I will NEVER regret all the years I’ve been a caregiver, but I decided it’s my turn now. π€·ββοΈ I knew Maddie would be great company, but I’ve been AMAZED with her! We’re having a fabulous adventure & living my dream! π
